Diabetic Eye Screening

Diabetic retinopathy can affect anyone who has diabetes and generally has no obvious visual symptoms until it is well advanced. It is the leading cause of blindness for people in the UK aged 16 to 65. Annual diabetic eye screening checks for the early signs of retinopathy – the earlier it’s detected the more likely treatment will be successful.

Diabetic Eye Screening Update

National Health Service England has contracted a new provider to supply the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme across Dorset from 1st April 2017.

The new provider will send you an appointment letter. They will initially invite you to your closest venue; the letter will explain how you can call to request a different appointment at a venue, date and time of your choice.

If you have any questions about the new service, contact the booking office and they will be happy to help:
