When to have an exam?

Regular sight tests are an important part of your healthcare and are easy to forget about if you not having any problems. Eye diseases can start to develop with no pain or obvious visual distortions. Early detection is the key to helping preserve your vision.

Every year if you are

  • Under 16
  • Diagnosed with glaucoma
  • Over 40 and have a direct relative with glaucoma
  • Diagnosed with macular degeneration

Every two years

  • Everyone else

More frequent tests

We may ask you to come in for a check more often than usually recommended. This can be for a number of different reasons when deemed clinically necessary for the health of your eyes.
